Administration
The Administration
Team provides administrative supports to Summit Air's daily operations
including flight and crew scheduling, dispatching, flight following,
computer operations, data entry, simple bookkeeping, and other administrative
tasks.
Applicants shall possess excellent communication skills, and
basic
knowledge in operating a computer system. Knowledge in software
such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access in an MS Windows
environment is recommended.

Maintenance
The Maintenance Crews provide maintenance upkeep for all aircraft
and supporting equipment within Summit Air fleet. Utilizing a first-class
fully equipped heated facility, repair and maintenance tasks are
performed on the fleet of turbo-prop aircraft and also other supporting
equipment such as the Kubota multi-purpose ground handling and service
vehicles, and portable heaters.
On top of the basic required licenses and certificates, applicants
shall possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to follow
instructions with minimum supervision and work well in a team oriented
environment. Experience with Garrett Engines preferred.

Ground
Support
The Ground Support Crews at Summit Air provide the invaluable services
of general upkeep of the ground facilities, assist flight crews
in pre-flight operations such as pre-heating aircraft and loading
cargo, and post-flight tasks such as unloading cargo, securing and
towing aircraft.
Applicants shall display basic mechanical skills and able to work
in an environment with minimum supervision. The ability to work
well in a team environment is a must.

Flight
Operations
Summit Air fleet consists of all turbo-prop aircraft above 12,500
lbs., and operated by two pilots in VFR and IFR conditions. With
the help of ground support crews, pilots are required to perform
all pre-flight duties such as pre-flight briefing, flight planning,
examining weather reports, pre-heating aircraft and loading cargo,
and post-flight duties such as unloading cargo, de-briefing, securing
aircraft and basic post-flight administrative tasks.
Applicants must be able to legally work in Canada, and shall meet
the minimum requirements listed below:

basic minimum requirements. Applicants with previous northern experience,
and other qualifications such as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
License will be taken into consideration.
